"Real scenes weren't enough, so I added my imagination. I never really belonged anywhere, so I created a form of myself"
I am Monova Studio (Mona.A), borned 1988, and I hold a Master's degree in Photography. Currently, I am a photographer specializing in photo montage and collage. My work blends these techniques with a unique approach that incorporates typography, creating photo-based poster-like compositions.
My serious projects, so far, include titles such as "Identity in the End", "After Here" and "50% Completed" all of which are visible and completed.

The purpose of creating such images is to express what goes on in my mind, the dreams I experience, and the thoughts and tastes that reside within me, but cannot be articulated with words. Since I felt that real-life scenes were insufficient to represent the flow of my inner spirit, I turned to creating images in this distinctive style.
I also have the experience of participating in the group exhibition "Photo of the Face of the Saqi" and winning first place at the "Human Motion" photo festival.
Project 1 – Identity in the end

My collection statement: This collection shows the impact of social judgments and the onslaught of other people's expectations on a person, as well as that person's courage to pursue their true identity. This series explores the silent impact of social observation, the invisible pressure of being seen, judged, and shaped by others before we even have a chance to become ourselves. Each work in the series explores identity as something fragile yet powerful: a space where fear and forward movement are constantly at odds. By photographing the elements in question and arranging them into a meaningful composition using photomontage, collage, and typography, I visualize what it means to move forward while feeling the weight of invisible eyes. Eyes that sometimes dictate to you the dreams you should have, not what your imagination inherently belongs to. This project is a reflection on reclaiming identity in a society that silently teaches us to perform and disappear into monotony. This project is about the pain of fighting judgment. And maybe... beyond all of this, there is a simple truth: my dreams are different from others' dreams because I am a separate being, not a factory replica.
The real game is always inside. It is where I decide how deep those outer eyes can go, how much of me remains untouched and unedited, mine. So the key sentence of this series for me is: Don't look at the looks. They are just eyes but they continue inside you. More than they deserve.
